Wellington National Golf Club Memberships Going Strong; Founders Level Already Sold-Out
Wellington, Fla. - Nov. 26, 2016- The hard-working team at Wellington National Golf Club continues to put the finishing touches on the club house facilities and the 18-hole championship-caliber golf course, and the reaction from those who have paid a visit has been nothing short of spectacular. Under the direction of the new ownership team of Doug Marty, Chip Smith and Andy Apple the timeline for upgrades to the club are going as planned. The Grille, under the direction of Executive Chef, Troy Sheller, is now open for lunch every day. The Wine Bar is the perfect setting to sip rare wines while trying different tapas style dishes or charcuterie boards. The Champions Bistro renovations have begun and it has an anticipated December opening date. The yoga and massage rooms are recently finished and fitness classes are filling up daily.
"Everything being done at Wellington National is first class! Anytime a member asks for something, it is done immediately," said Peter Hill, one of Wellington National's newest members.
With hundreds of inquiries coming in weekly and Founding Memberships already sold out, Julie Pickens the Director of Marketing at the Wellington National Golf Club, is already busier than expected. Pickens joins the Wellington National team from the International Polo Club. Her star-studded resume also includes stints at the Breakers Palm Beach and Morton's Steak House.
"I could not be more thrilled to be a part of this amazing project," she smiled. "It has exceeded all of my expectations for what I was hoping for after a long and exciting career at IPC, which I opened from day one as well."
Pickens also noted, "The residents of the surrounding areas are so grateful that the new owners are enhancing their properties with the removal of old and dead trees and restoring the lush landscaping which adds value to their homes."
Wellington National Golf Club has already signed up a wonderful group of members that include local Wellington and Palm Beach residents, families with children, young social members, and a number of polo, hunter/jumper and dressage equestrians.
"We have a fabulous team of professionals that have been in this industry for a long time, therefore making the member experience that much better," she added. "Our goal is to exceed the member's expectations creating a warm and friendly atmosphere!"
The calendar, come season, will be packed with a number of fun events for members including golf tournaments, clinics, wine events, happy hours. The club will also host fun themed parties for Oktoberfest, Halloween,Thanksgiving, and the winter holidays.
"And that's just to name a few," she laughed. "What's most exciting is working with the Wellington Hospitality Group with Chef Troy Sheller, Aaron Menitoff and Julie Larson. They have been working diligently, booking parties and events left and right, but no surprise to anyone if you know what they are capable of producing," she said.
